  • Pray for the people of Jamaica...many loved ones of our church family, as a category 5 hurricane Melissa lands.  Pray that people will find a place of safety through the storm, and that infrastructures and communication will be quickly restored.

  • Susan Gerbes is traveling with her mom, Ursula, who forgot her hearing aids...and requests prayer for God's enabling in their travels.

  • Pray for Laura Pingue's mother, who has been in GNGH for 3 days in the hallway, and they cannot find out what is wrong with her.  Pray for the health care team and doctors to find answers and for healing.  

  • Please continue to pray for Joanne George, who had surgery on Monday, October 20th; please pray for healing and encouragement as she recovers over the next 6 weeks.

  • Pray for the  three youth who made a confession of Christ as Lord at our Gorgon outreach event last week.


  • Please pray for Ruth Reid and her family, in the passing of her husband Bob.  Bob was in hospice in Prince George BC for only a few days before he died. Pray for preparations for a service in Bob's memory, and that the testimony of the gospel will touch many people.

  • Please pray for our Missionaries of the Month: Lucas & Michele Souza in northeast Brazil in their ongoing outreach and discipleship in small fisherman villages (see prayer update here).
    Also pray for Lucas & Michele as they expect their first child. Michele is having a lot of difficulty with nausea and vomiting; medication has not helped.  Pray for strength and protection of their baby in the womb.

  • Please continue praying for overall church ministry, for ministry leaders, life group leaders, discipleship triads, children and youth ministry teams, outreaches, and of course, our regular Sunday morning ministries in worship services and Sunday School..., for our responsiveness to God's Word both personally and in group studies. Pray that we will be steadfast in standing on the truth, and be life-giving in our witness to those who need Jesus!

  • Anna Goode's nephew, Brian is making good progress in his healing, God is good! Brian has been transferred out of St. Michael’s Hospital and into a rehabilitation centre to help him regain his strength, to improve his walking, balance and stability.
    Brian is greatly improving.  Thanks to all the prayers and God’s grace and mercy. .

  • Please pray for God's wisdom, strength, and joy for each of:
    • Our Elders: Jim Stuart, Phil Osborne, Jeff Korody, Don Stauffer,  Norm Hill, along with Pastor Martin and Pastor Bruce.
    • Our Directors: Lawrence McGinn, Trevor Hartwick, along with Elders Jim, Phil, Jeff, Norm, and Don. 
    • Our Deacons: Mark Ridgway, Ian LeSurf, Hilary Daley, Irene Osborne, Anthony Maracle, Mark Daley, Patty LeSurf, Elaine Korody, and Mellanie Romita.

  • Pray for the Washroom renovation project, which is nearing completion;  pray that the construction will go well and in a timely manner.

  • Pray for God's peace for Lorna Johansen (Chapel Heights), Ron Myers (Lundy Manor), Vi Warden (Cavendish), Elaine Short (Oakwood Park Lodge), Alex Kaye (Chapel Heights), Tom Goode (Linhaven/Henley House), Vera Harnden (Simcoe), Esther Rosa (Meadows), Betty Enns (Meadows of Dorchester), Bethene Fretz (Maple Park Lodge), Doreen Menard (Elgin Falls), Mary Franco (Queenston Place), Marj Kershaw (now at Valley Park Lodge), and Bill Howie (Bella), and Della Height (Oakwood) in their care at Senior Homes, and for others like Ellen Kerr and Sandy Cooper who are mostly homebound.

  • Pray for our regular ministries at Cavendish Manor, Oakwood Lodge, Niagara Long-Term Care (NOTL), Bella Retirement Home, River Road Retirement Home, Willoughby Manor and now Elgin Falls.  Pray for God's strength and wisdom as we bring encouragement through song and studies from God's Word to these senior residents.

Thanks for praying!  Please include these in your personal, small group, and ministry team prayer times. Also, there is a weekly women's prayer time at the church, Mondays at 1:00 PM...all women are welcome.  And, you are welcome to join our pre-service prayer time each Sunday morning at 9:20 AM in the Family Room, praying specifically for God's work among us and in the lives of those not yet saved.
